climbers

The longer I live here the less shocking I find the playground equipment. (A fresh coat of paint always helps.) Exhibit A: the jungle gym, featuring firehouse poles and clear drops. We came across this particular set of metal pipes, the likes of which I haven't seen in the U.S. since I was in elementary school (I think they've all been replaced by climbing ropes and safer structures made of plastic or wood), next to the Hamamatsucho station and across the street from the Pokemon Center, where I had promised to take the boys if they behaved in church.
